SPCA of Anne Arundel County
The mission of the SPCA shall be to serve as the leading private nonprofit organization within Anne Arundel County which exists to protect animals from acts of cruelty and neglect.
To promote humane care and concern for animals by educating the public and by working to end pet overpopulation.
To provide shelter and rehabilitation to animals in need.
To work for the passage and enforcement of laws which promote and provide for the humane treatment of animals.
Anne Arundel County Animal Control

Anne Arundel County Animal Control encourages everyone to adopt a pet from its facility. Prior to adopting or purchasing any pet, it is important to know that the type of pet you select is compatible with one’s lifestyle. In addition, it is important to be familiar with the animal control laws that pertain to the pet of your choice. Animal Control adoption regulations require that all currently owned pets be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and animal licensing. Landlord approval is needed for tenants of rental properties.

Cats “R” Us
Cats “R” Us is a feral cat rescue organization whose main focus is TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return). This means that stray and feral cats already living outdoors are humanely trapped and sterilized, and/or tipped for identification by veterinarians.
Cats “R” Us does not take giveaways but can direct you to another organization that may take your cat. We also provide help in finding a home for your cat by showing it in one of our adoption shows or through the Petfinder Web Site.
