CHEARS LogoCHEARS, the CHesapeake Education, Arts and Research Society, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health of all who share the Chesapeake watershed environment.

CHEARS has a special focus on the cross-boundary linkages between our homes in urban, suburban and rural areas in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, and between the cross time linkages looking to the past heritage and future visions for the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and our relationship to the past, current and future earth community worldwide.

CHEARS is a tribe of friends and volunteers -environmentalists, natural and social scientists, artists, educators, children, parents, grandparents, and activists interested in learning together and facilitating and enabling others in the areas of ecological stewardship and artistic expression.

Chesapeake Bay Recovery Partnership

The Chesapeake Bay Recovery Partnership is a newly formed public-private partnership between the Oyster Recovery Partnership and the State of Maryland (Department of Natural Resources).The partnership was created to raise funds from public and private sources and to implement large-scale, integrated Chesapeake Bay restoration projects that will include oyster restoration, bay grass replenishment, planting of forest buffers and cover crops, and nutrient and sediment reduction.

You can obtain ownership and value information about every parcel of real property in the State of Maryland (approximately 2,500,000 accounts) from this database, as well as sales of real property. Data on the Real Property Data Search system is updated every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning. The data provided through this web site is the same information available from public access terminals located in the local assessment offices.

Jones Station Company 23 AA County Fire Department

Anne Arundel County Fire DepartmentThe Anne Arundel County Fire Department is a combination department, with 30 fire stations, that border the southside of Baltimore City in central Maryland. Station 23 is Anne Arundel Counties Special Operations Station and provides the county with hazmat response, confined space rescue, high-angle rope rescue, collapse & trench rescue, swift water rescue, and dive rescue. The station operates a Quint, Rescue Squad, Dive Unit, and Collapse Unit. The station and the Maryland State Police Aviation Division provide the county and the eastern shore of Maryland with a helicopter rescue team.

South River Federation

South River FederationThe South River Federation, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to restore, protect, preserve and celebrate the South River and its ecosystem. Behind this mission is growing movement to create a new mindset about the behavior and involvement of every individual who impacts the South River. The Federation is a growing, healthy, grass-roots nonprofit environmental organization with some 500 members, three staff and a board of directors comprised of dedicated community leaders. Full time staff includes the South RiverKeeper who monitors and documents the health of the South River via weekly bacteria testing and water quality sampling from May through September.
