Founded in 1921, the Anne Arundel County Public Library, AACPL, is headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland. Located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, along the Chesapeake Bay, Anne Arundel County’s diverse population of over 435,000 residents is served by 15 library branches countywide. More than 1 million items constitute the library’s collection and staff respond to nearly 300,000 inquiries from the public each year.
