Dr. Ramona Seidel started Bay Crossing Family Medicine in November 2005 on the Broadneck Peninsula with the philosophy of creating a medical practice where patients and physicians can partner in care. This small “micropractice” allows more direct contact between physician and patient, while looking to improve access, quality, safety, and outcomes.
Broadneck Pharmacy, opened in 1985 by Pharmacist Bud LaChapelle, is celebrating over 20 years of service to the Arnold, Annapolis, and Severna Park areas. Marcus LaChapelle, PharmD, has joined his father to continue the family business into the new century. Marcus LaChapelle graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in Biological Resource Engineering before receiving his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2007.
Maryland Primary Care Physicians is a group practice of family doctors, internists, pediatricians, cardiologists and other specialists who provide comprehensive care at our offices across central Maryland, including Arnold and Annapolis. MPCP owns and operates 11 individual medical practices in four counties, including Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George’s and Queen Anne’s. 70 board certified providers include physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in the fields of family practice, internal medicine, geriatrics, cardiology, and pediatrics. Their efforts are supported by an additional 260 clinical and business staff members, bringing the total staff to 330 employees.
Allergy and Asthma Associates is a specialty practice dealing with asthma, allergic and non-allergic nasal conditions, sinusitis, recurrent respiratory infections, and cough; allergic eczema, hives and swelling; and allergies to foods, medications, and stinging insects. Dr. James Banks is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Timothy Andrews is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is board eligible for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) facilities at Naval Support Activity Annapolis are for recreational use by active duty military, retired military, active reservists, current and retired Department of Defense civilian employees (Civil Service and Non-appropriated), active duty Coast Guard, family members in all of the previous categories, Midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy and USNA DoD Contractors. AAHS, founded in 1902 as the Annapolis Emergency Hospital, has evolved into a regional medical center serving Anne Arundel as well as parts of Prince George’s County and the Eastern Shore. AAHS is the umbrella organization for the non-profit Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), Pathways (a non-profit inpatient/outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility for adolescents and adults), Anne Arundel Diagnostics, Nighttime Pediatrics, the askAAMC 24-hour health line, and three satellite lcations: Shipley’s Choice Medical Park in Millersville (a joint venture with University of Maryland Medicine), AAMC Health Services – Bowie and AAMC Health Services – Waugh Chapel.
