Maryland Federation of Art

The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) is the oldest operating artist gallery in Maryland, established in 1963 by US Navy Commander Charles Holley, Mrs. Margaret Fowler, and a group of dedicated Annapolis-area artists interested in developing professional exhibition opportunities for Maryland’s creative community. From this small beginning, big things have come about at the MFA. The success of the MFA and its Circle Gallery stems from a genuine interest in supporting artists, by exhibiting their important work, and in bringing the exciting contemporary talent of the region to the art-appreciative audience, both local and visiting.
